Problem Solving and Getting Stuck

Hi students,
I made it back from New Jersey yesterday. It was below freezing! Down
jackets rule.

I want to remind you that getting stuck is part of the process. One
of the things we will work on this term is how to deal with getting
stuck. As you work on the first problem set, take your time. Think
about what you are doing, and write down your thoughts. On Monday or
Tuesday (depending on the class) we will work together to build
solutions to the problems.

Hi Students!

Those students who need to add, please remember to obtain a permission number (magic number) from me before or after class.   All of my classes has space, so I should be able to add everyone who wants to sign up for MAT 271, 308 or 521.
